In this document "the guild" refers to The Shadow Hunters Empire and "you" refers to the end user:
Article I: Joining [TOP]
Section 1: Maturity Requirement
No person under the age of sixteen will be permitted to join the guild. Existing members of the the guild that fail to meet this requirement will be allowed to stay in the guild. However, no new applicants under the age of sixteen will be permitted to join the guild. This rule is mainly for legal reasons. Statistics have shown that the majority of players under the age of sixteen cause problems and complications due to a lack of maturity. There may be exceptions to this rule if the maturity of the person in question is substantial enough to bypass this rule. Also note that the Emperor, Empress and Council of the guild will judge all possible recruits by their maturity level foremost, no matter what your indicated age may be.
Section 2: Enrollment Process
In order to become a member of the guild, you must be introduced to the Emperor by a current member of the guild. At this point you must be accepted by the Emperor and two Council Members, or the Emperor and the Empress. In order for you to gain acceptance you must participate in a few of the guild's events. This will allow the officials of the guild to see how you interact with the existing members, allowing the officials to make an informed decision based on your actions.
Section 3: Initiation
When you enter the guild, you will be titleless for two weeks. Under the new guild system, you will be set as a Ronin for those two weeks as well. After two weeks you will become a full fledged Member and be titled accordingly. There are two main disciplines of the guild: Artisan and Army. This may change in the future. You will be evaluated as a character to fit either Artisan or Army and will then be titled to match the division you have been placed in.
Article II: Harassment [TOP]
Section 1: General Harassment
If you bother a fellow member while enrolled in the guild, to the point where this member asks you to leave them alone and you do not obey, a case of harassment may be issued upon you. To issue a case of harassment against a fellow member, please contact the guild at theshadowcouncil@gmail.com. Contacting an official of the guild is always the best course of action. The officals of the guild will hold everything a member tells them with due respect to the privacy of the individual. The alleged will be examined and charged accordingly. If charged, there is a possibility that you will be removed from the guild temporarily or permanently. The decision is to be made by the Emperor with the aid of the Council if need be.
Article III: Combat [TOP]
Section 1: General PvP/Fighting
Killing fellow members against their will is not tolerated in the guild, nor is looting. The Emperor believes strongly in integration however. The Emperor wants all members that are built with the ability to PvP to learn how to PvP at some point, but will never force members to engage in combat. Because of this, the guild will never go through an official war. Every Friday night we practice an event called Friday Night Fights, where we basically just practice PvP. If this is not enough for you, then simply ask members that look like they might want to fight if they would like to PvP or if you can try a move out. The Emperor encourages the practice of PvP tactics as long as both sides agree to the skirmish. If your intentions are not honorable, however, you will be dealt with by the officials of the guild.
Section 2: Friday Night Fights
Every Friday night at 8:00 PM EST the guild has Friday Night Fights. FNF are an activity near the Delucia tailor shop where the guild practices PvP tactics to learn and enjoy the aspects of player combat in UO. There are no rules except for the rule of no looting. The guild may, from time to time, fight at different locations throughout the game. Trammel does not allow most of the real PvP aspects that are found only in Felucca. However, for control purposes, most FNF will be held in Trammel.
Section 3: R-Unit
The emergance of a FNF group will be completed soon after the release of the new guild system. This group will be an active Felucca PvP group and the members are encouraged to stay there. It will be a subdivision of the guild.
Article IV: Diplomacy [TOP]
Section 1: Allies
Killing people outside of the Shadow Hunters Empire is acceptable, unless the person you kill is somehow associated to SHE in some way. The following are allied guilds to SHE right now: The Knights of Virtue [VK] and The Shadow Hunters Task Force [SHOT]. To find out more about VK and SHOT, check out the links page. I cannot expect every member to know every person who could be associated with SHE. If it is a member who clearly has VK or SHOT tags, then it is a pretty easy case. However, if you truly do not know at the time, then I cannot put blame on you. A second time, however, will be inexcusable. Also, as the Shadow Emperor, I have the sole right to choose who exactly is associated, sometimes giving the associated the benefit of the doubt. In general though, I accept player killers who remain in SHE and if you need any help with transfers or anything, I will be glad to help.
Article V: Participation [TOP]
Section 1: Guild Colors and Events
The official guild colors of SHE are Black/White/Gray [Neutral Colors] and Red, preferably Dry-Blood Red. Id like everyone to dress accordingly in one, two, three or all of those colors when we do events, like meetings, dungeon crawls and Friday night fights. AOS Death Shrouds would be an example to wear to a council meeting. The color scheme of this website fits the guild color scheme. Guild colors present a visual effect that will create unity and recognition of SHE, throughout the shard of Chesapeake and I require you to go by the colors.
Section 2: Team Colors
Through the passing of time I may assign certain teams, or groups based on recruiting sessions. These are the following seven groups that may come to pass: The Crimson Rose [Red], The Ice Crystal Serpent [Ice Blue], The Raven Brood [Purple], The Ivory Fang [Ice White], The Emerald Guard [Green], The Soulstone Clan [Yellow], and The Dark Forge [Blaze]. The colors included will replace the color of Red in the color set above. If nothing more I expect a half apron to be worn of that color. The Dark Forge will be a crafting team, the rest will be pvm and/or pvp teams. Teams will be listed once made.
Article VI: Treasury [TOP]
Section 1: Purpose
Every Sunday at 2pm EST we go to a dungeon or some sort of spawn as a guild, called Dungeon Crawls, or DC. We then control the spawn, extracting loot and items while wearing out those held and worn. No one said earning money was a good thing, no, it is quite evil. We tear up the spawns and then split all gold obtained by our party into exact individual piles. We will usually have to take the loot and use a bag of sending. A DC we did earned us a total of over 150k one time, which amounted to about 29k per a member. In general, DCs are more for fun than pure cash hogging though. It is to be noted that if you do attend a DC, that you are required to take all gold you receive and put it in a larger pot to be split up at the end. Whenever I attend a DC, I take my amount of gold and put it in the Shadow Keep, located near the Ironwood Inn in Vesper. Within the Shadow Keep I have started a pile, which amounts to the guild fund total. I will use this pile to help fund members of the guild for small or large investments, or if a member is in dire need of something.
Section 2: Empress Control
The Empress is the guild's treasurer and controls what and how guild money should be spent.
Article VII: Ranks [TOP]
Section 1: Military Titles
The following are military ranks, in the order of most power to the least: Shadow Emperor, Shadow Legionnaire, Shadow Knight, Shadow Enforcer, Shadow Vanguard, Shadow Guardian, Shadow Minion. All new members will start off as a Shadow Minion for the first week. Rankings are only allowed to be given by the Shadow Emperor or the Shadow Legionnaire.
Section 2: Artisan Titles
The following are artisan ranks, in the order of most power to the least: Shadow Empress, Shadow Negotiator, Shadow Council, Shadow Artisan, Shadow Merchant, Shadow Supplier, Shadow Tradesman. All new members will start off as a Shadow Crafter for the first week. Rankings are only allowed to be given by the Shadow Empress or the Shadow Negotiator.
Section 3: Basic Titles
For those who do not want Military or Artisan titles, or do not fit the requirements, titles will consist of either Shadow Hunter or Shadow Huntress.
Section 4: Rank Explanations
The Shadow Emperor is the commander of the guild order and process.
The Shadow Empress is the commander of treasury and diplomacy, including the use of guild funds and the process in which to receive them.
The Shadow Legionnaire is the commander of the SHE army, which consists of Enforcers, Vanguards, Guardians and Minions.
The Shadow Negotiator is the head council and the chief diplomat of the guild next to the Empress.
Shadow Knights are the team leaders, and are also considered to be part of the royal guard.
The Shadow Council controls who enters the guild and sets rules and regulations for the guild's benefit.
Shadow Enforcers are amongst the top fighting characters, able to control themselves in nearly any situation.
Shadow Vanguards are the first line of fighters and protects Enforcers, Guardians, and Minions.
Shadow Guardians are predominately healers and will usually not be on the frontline fighting.
Shadow Minions are new members of the guild.
Shadow Crafters, Shadow Smiths and titles that include profession of the arts are considered the guild's official suppliers of materials used for combat. I would ask these members for repairs. You will usually find that prices are at a discount or even free. I myself will usually craft things for free. My character is Bull God, who is a Tailor and a Smith. I will definitely make free GM leather armors if you supply the leather type you want.
Shadow Hunter and Huntress are titles that are given if the person does not wish to be a part of either ladder of ranks.
